Hall Thorpe Sports

Staff Qualifications and Screening

Hall-Thorpe Sports management ensures that all of its educators receive ongoing professional development opportunities, and are aware of industry legislation and ‘best practice’ in the childcare sector. Hall-Thorpe Sports educators also attend regular staff meetings which are designed to discuss children’s progress and development. All Hall-Thorpe Sports' staff possess a Senior First Aid Certificate, which includes resuscitation competencies. In addition, all staff are trained in asthma and anaphylaxis management, including the administration of Epipen. Under the National Quality Framework, all educators are required to hold, or be working towards, a minimum of a Certificate III in Children’s Services. A large proportion of Hall-Thorpe Sports staff are completing a Bachelor of Education. Importantly, all Hall-Thorpe Sports educators are carefully screened, and must undertake a National Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

Hall-Thorpe Sports strives to provide better quality service and better staff to child ratios. We aim to operate on an educator to child ratio of one educator to 11 children, even though the requirement is one carer for every 15 children.

Hall-Thorpe Sports is experienced in developing and implementing individual inclusion plans (IPP's) in conjunction with local support agencies for children with individual requirements. This assists educators to focus on the child's needs, goals and actions to facilitate the inclusion of all children within an identified, care environment.
