Accreditation and Policies

The Council of Australian Governments has developed My Time Our Place- Framework for School Age Care in Australia (The Framework) to assist educators to provide children with opportunities to maximise their potential and develop a foundation for future success in life. In this way, the Framework will contribute to realising the Council of Australian Governments vision that. "All children have the best start in life to create a better future for themselves and for the nation."

As part of its requirement for being a licensed outside school hours care provider, Hall-Thorpe Sports is required to adhere to the Federal Governments National Quality Standard (NQS). The assessment and rating process includes consideration of the service history and the Quality Improvement Plan together with a visit to the service. During the visit the assessor observes and discusses practice and sights supporting documentation. After the visit the service, the assessor rates the service against the National Quality Standard (NQS) based on this evidence. The NQS is comprised of 65 elements, 23 standards and 7 quality areas.

As part of its commitment to quality care, Hall-Thorpe Sports has developed, and implements an extensive list of policies and procedures. In addition, it has developed a comprehensive Risk Management Strategy, and Occupational, Health and Safety program. All of these documents and programs are available to parents on request.
